The London Eye is situated on the
South Bank of the River Thames, opposite the Houses of Parliament.
To get your ticket you'll have to go into the building adjacent the
Eye in County Hall.
It's about five minutes from
the Waterloo tube station and Westminster Tube station is just over
Westminster Bridge. Most sightseeing tours stop close by and the red
bus numbers 211, 77 and 381 will also get you there.
Perhaps not quite as busy as it
used to be but be prepared for a queue of some sort. It's pretty
organised. You may not leave luggage at the Eye for safety reasons -
if needed there are left luggage facilities at Waterloo mainline
station which is 10 minutes from the London Eye.
There is full disabled access.
Loos and a cafe are found at the County Hall adjacent.
The 'flight' lasts about 30
minutes. The clear capsule takes you 135 metres above London, where
else will you get a view of this sort; on a clear day you can see
for about 30 miles at 360 degrees. It's fun in a passive way - there
are seats in the centre of each capsule so you can rest while
enjoying the view.

Check the London
Eye site for times and prices.
