leave the A1 at the A696 and follow the signs to the airport from here.
Passengers travelling from Edinburgh may find it easier to follow the A68
and then the A696

Short-stay parking is located right in front of the
terminal building, within easy walking distance. Prices are free for up to
15 minutes, and then start at around £1 for up to
half an hour.
The long stay park is a short
bus journey from the terminal building, and buses run 24 hours a day.
The car park is secure, with CCTV and security systems.
It is advisable to book long stay parking in
advance to ensure availability.

Local: The Metro fast transit system is the best way of travelling
from Newcastle Airport to anywhere within Tyne and Wear, including mainline
railway stations at Newcastle and Sunderland. The Airport Metro station is
immediately adjacent to the passenger terminal. It takes under 30
minutes from the Airport to Newcastle Central Station and leaves about every
10 minutes.
